About MouseTester

MouseTester is a small, ad-supported toolbox for input devices. It exists because input hardware fails in ways that are easy to prove and easy to misdiagnose: a button that double-fires gets blamed on the game, a skipping sensor gets blamed on the driver, and people replace gear they could have fixed or returned.

Every tool on this site runs entirely in your browser. There is no upload, no account and no server component - the tests read the same system events your games read, which is exactly what makes them honest: they show what your computer actually received, not what a driver utility claims.

The guides are written from the failure modes people actually hit - double-clicking switches, laggy wireless setups, DPI confusion - and every claim is testable with the tools on the same site. If a guide disagrees with your measurements, trust your measurements and write to us: hello@mousetester.novadailyhub.com.

Three commitments keep the site honest. First, the tests never pretend to more than they measure: the button test shows what your computer received, the double click test shows millisecond gaps, and neither claims to diagnose a sensor from your armchair. Second, nothing is uploaded - not clicks, not keystrokes, not pointer paths - because a test that spies on you is worse than no test. Third, the buying and fixing guides name the boring truth (shape beats specs, switches die, cleaning helps about half the time) even when a more exciting claim would pull more clicks.

The toolbox grows by request more than by roadmap: rollover counting, the DPI distance method and the technique ratings all exist because someone wrote in asking. If a test you need is missing, that request line is open.
